Polymer Fuse Cutout

Polymer fuse cutout is an outdoor overcurrent protection and isolating device for medium-voltage distribution lines, typically rated at 11kV, 15kV, 24kV, and 33kV. It is widely used on overhead distribution networks and on the primary side of distribution transformers.

Based on the proven dropout fuse design, the fuse element melts under overload or short-circuit conditions, causing the fuse tube to drop open and provide reliable fault interruption and a clearly visible isolation gap, allowing easy identification and maintenance in the field.

Compared with porcelain-type fuse cutouts, the polymer fuse cutout offers natural hydrophobicity, excellent pollution resistance, lighter weight, and higher impact strength, significantly improving safety and reliability during transportation, installation, and operation in harsh environments.
