Braced Post Insulators: 115kV, 138kV, 161kV & 230kV

Braced post insulator is a high-strength composite insulator assembly used for high-voltage transmission line applications. It usually consists of a horizontal line post insulator, a suspension insulator, and matching hardware fittings. By combining post support and suspension tension performance, the assembly provides improved mechanical strength and stability for conductors exposed to wind load, tension load, line angle force, and ice loading.

This type of braced post insulator is widely applied on 115kV, 138kV, 161kV, and 230kV transmission lines, particularly in North American transmission systems and projects following ANSI-based design requirements. With higher cantilever load capacity and better structural support than standard line post insulators, it is suitable for long spans, heavy conductor loads, and demanding transmission line structures.
