Suspension Insulator

Suspension insulators are attached to poles or pylons to support conductors and provide electrical insulation. They are typically made up of multiple insulation units connected in series, allowing them to withstand high voltage and mechanical loads.

Based on material, suspension insulators are classified into glass disc insulators, porcelain disc insulators, and polymer suspension insulators. Glass disc and porcelain disc insulators have been widely used traditionally, while polymer suspension insulators are increasingly popular in modern high-voltage transmission systems due to their light weight and strong resistance to pollution.
